Technology & Comfort

How’s the wearing experience—can I wear them all day?

Yes. Bonic Fusion weighs just 27g. Bonic Cycle is 31g. Neither model touches your ear canal, so there's no in-ear pressure or fatigue. Both are designed for all-day wear — commutes, workouts, work shifts, or anywhere your day takes you.

How do open-ear bone conduction headphones work?

Bone conduction headphones deliver sound through gentle vibrations transmitted via your cheekbones — bypassing the ear canal entirely. Both Bonic Cycle and Bonic Fusion use this technology, so your canals stay completely open while you listen. You get clear audio and full awareness of your surroundings at the same time.

Are open-ear headphones as good as in-ear earbuds?

They're designed for a different purpose. In-ear earbuds prioritize isolation; open-ear bone conduction headphones prioritize safety and comfort. Vocals and mids are clear — bass is lighter, which is a fair trade for runners, cyclists, and anyone who needs to hear traffic, voices, or their environment while they move.

What are the benefits of an open-ear design?

Your ear canals stay clear, unblocked, and comfortable — no pressure, no heat buildup, no trapped moisture. You also hear everything around you: cars, cyclists, voices, trail sounds. For outdoor athletes, that ambient awareness isn't a compromise. It's the point.

How do I maintain my Bonic headphones?

Wipe down with a dry cloth after use. Both models are IPX8-rated, so rinsing under fresh water is fine — but avoid prolonged exposure to soap, saltwater, or extreme heat (saunas, hot tubs) to preserve the speaker mesh and sound quality over time.

Sports & Usage

Does Bonic Cycle have a built-in LED safety light?

Bonic Cycle includes a built-in rear LED safety light with multiple modes — no clip-on, no extra accessory. It's built into the headphone and activates easily via the physical buttons. Bonic Fusion does not have LED — it's designed for lit environments and daytime use. If you run at night on unlit roads, Bonic Cycle is the right choice.

Are Bonic headphones waterproof enough for swimming?

Both models carry an IPX8 rating — the highest waterproofing standard in consumer audio. That means full submersion is fine. Rain, sweat, open-water swimming, or a rinse under the tap after a muddy trail run. IPX8 is not splash-resistant — it's fully waterproof.

Do Bonic headphones support voice assistants?

Yes. In Bluetooth mode, double-press the power button to activate your phone's native voice assistant (Siri, Google Assistant). Both models also support multipoint Bluetooth for connecting to more than one device. The open-ear design lets you hear the caller and your surroundings simultaneously — no awkward toggle between call mode and awareness mode.

Does Bonic Cycle have different usage modes?

Yes. Bonic Cycle includes Music Mode and an additional listening mode. In Bluetooth mode, press the power button four times to switch between modes. Bonic Fusion is optimized for standard Bluetooth music and calls.

How long does it take to fully charge?

A full charge takes approximately 2 hours. Once charged, both models support a full day of music, calls, and workouts on a single charge. Always ensure the charging port is completely dry before connecting the cable.

Are these good for trail running and HIIT workouts?

Yes. Both models use a wraparound ergonomic fit that stays secure across all terrain and pace — whether you're on the trail or mid-HIIT session. The open-ear design means you stay aware of your surroundings during outdoor runs, while still keeping you locked in during high-intensity intervals. Bonic Cycle adds a built-in rear LED for pre-dawn or dusk runs. Bonic Fusion is the lighter option at 27g, ideal for runners and HIIT athletes who prioritize minimal weight.

Bonic Cycle vs. Bonic Fusion — Which One Is Right for You?

What's the difference between Bonic Cycle and Bonic Fusion?

Both share the same core DNA: open-ear bone conduction technology, IPX8 waterproofing, and silicone construction. The differences:  Bonic Cycle — 31g, built-in rear LED safety light, designed for night runners, cyclists, and anyone who trains in low-visibility conditions.  Bonic Fusion — 27g, no LED, available in four city-inspired colorways (Black / New York, Orange / Los Angeles, Green / Seattle, White / Miami). Built for everyday runs, lit environments, and runners who want the lightest, most expressive option.

Are Bonic headphones compatible with glasses or sunglasses?

The wraparound design works for most wearers. If you wear thick-framed glasses or cycling-specific eyewear, we recommend testing the fit before your first long session. The soft silicone construction minimizes pressure, and the flexible band adjusts to most head shapes.

Why is open-ear design better for runners over 35?

In-ear headphones create a seal in the ear canal during every workout — trapping heat, moisture, and pressure over time. For consistent daily athletes, that adds up. Bonic's open-ear design keeps the canal clear and comfortable with zero contact. No seal. No buildup. Just sound and awareness.

Is Bonic Fusion suitable for sports beyond running?

Bonic Fusion is built for any sport or activity where you want a lightweight, canal-free listening experience. IPX8 waterproofing means it handles swimming, cycling in the rain, or intense sweat sessions. The 27g build and secure wraparound fit work across all movement types.

Should I choose Cycle or Fusion if I run at night?

Bonic Cycle. The built-in LED rear light makes you visible to cars, cyclists, and other runners without carrying any extra gear. If you run primarily in daylight, well-lit streets, or indoor settings, the Fusion is the right fit.

Troubleshooting

The headphone feels loose during intense movement.

Make sure the band is seated fully behind your head and the transducers are positioned on your cheekbones. The silicone band is designed to flex and conform — if needed, gently press the transducers closer to your cheekbones for a more secure fit.

I feel vibration at high volumes. Is that normal?

Yes — minor cheekbone vibration at high volumes is normal for the bone conduction category. Adjusting the fit slightly forward or
backward usually resolves it. We recommend keeping volume at a moderate level for comfort and hearing health.

My headphones won't pair. What should I do?

Hold the power button for 5 seconds to enter pairing mode. Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your device and that the headphones aren't already connected to another device. If needed, delete the Bonic device from your Bluetooth list and re-pair from scratch.

The volume seems low. What should I do?

Check placement first. The transducers should sit directly on your cheekbones, just in front of your ears — not on the ear itself. In noisy environments, you can use earplugs; sealing the ear canal enhances bone conduction sound significantly.

The LED on my Bonic Cycle isn't working.

Press the LED button to cycle through the available light modes (steady, flash, or breathe mode). If the light still doesn't activate, ensure the
battery is sufficiently charged. If the issue persists after charging, contact prime@bonictrack.com with your order number.
