The industry was built for a different kind of runner — younger, with fewer responsibilities, and apparently indestructible ears. In-ear headphones trap heat, oil, and wax in the ear canal. After 35, that's not discomfort — that's a real medical risk. Cold weather. Dark roads. Rainstorms. The gear wasn't keeping up. And nobody was talking about it.
